The angling group is fun & sociable rather than competitive. Anglers of all ages and abilities are welcome; we currently range from 66 to 95 years old. The only cost (other than your bait and petrol/diesel) will be day tickets which will vary by venue, but quite often it will be free. You don't have to be a member of the group to attend a session and even if you have never fished before, please come along to see us and maybe give it a try - we can provide all the necessary directions, tackle, bait and advice. We are one of the few U3A angling groups in the area (country?) and we already have members from other U3As so don't let geography put you off.

In 2021 we had just 6 members but now (January 2025) numbers have rocketed by 50% to 9! Maybe you could be that new member to put us into double figures?

As well as meeting face-to-face as often as possible, we communicate by eMail and text to keep each other in touch with what's happening in local angling. We also share the many, many, many years of fishing knowledge & experience we've accumulated between us - every day's a school day, even at our ages!
